Square Drill Diamonds

They say artists always fancy themselves a good texture. And that is exactly what square drill diamonds are for!

Square Drill Diamond painting is for the challenge lovers. They are relatively hard to work with since they are more difficult to pick and align. But they are worth all the patience and hard work since they make up a very textured and well-fitted diamond painting.

Here’s a list of pros and cons of using square drill diamonds for all you diamond painting enthusiasts.

Pros:

1. They give the canvas a textured and well-fitted finish.

2. Professionals love square drills because they don’t leave empty spaces or gaps when they fit together.

3. They are glossy and give the whole painting a life-like touch.

4. You can work on small-sized canvases with square drill diamonds and they will look just as good.

Cons:

1. They are hard to work with.

2. Once you mess up or make a small mistake with square drill diamonds, there’s no going back.

3. They require a lot of time and patience.

4. You can’t really work on larger canvases with square drills unless you are ready to commit to them for a long, long time.

Round Drill Diamonds

Round Diamonds are the ultimate choice for beginners and easy going diamond painters. They are easier to work with, have a very artistic outlook since they don’t have well-defined lines and strict protocol.

Round Drill Diamonds are more forgiving than square drill diamonds and have their own set of pros and cons.

Pros

1. They are easy to work with.

2. They have a sparkly finish.

3. It takes less time to complete a relatively bigger canvas with round drill diamonds as compared to square drill diamonds.

4.They are well-suited for beginners and children.

5. You can easily cover up your alignment mistakes with round drill diamonds since they have gaps and spaces between them.

Cons

1. There will always be empty gaps or spaces between every round drill diamond on the canvas.

2. They don’t have the same level of precision and professional outlook as square diamonds.

3. You can’t work on small canvases with round diamonds, they won’t look as good. Round Drill Diamonds look better only on large canvases.
