Diamond painting is hands down the most satisfying and artistic venture one can indulge in, in this millennial age. Whether you are on team round diamonds or team square diamonds, bring out the artist in you and create wonders with these nifty diamond painting hacks!

Multi-diamond applicator to the rescue!

Love diamond painting but don’t have the patience to pick and paste them one by one? Well, consider all your wishes granted by the multi-diamond applicator genie! There are a number of types of multi-diamond applicators that help you pick and paste multiple diamonds at a time.

Diamond Paintings and Diamond Teeth

We all know toothpicks are great for clean teeth, but lo and behold, toothpicks are great for getting clean and neat diamond paintings too! If you ever mess up and place a diamond out of its position you can just nudge it back to its place by using a toothpick!

Tweezers Work Too!

If you are a perfectionist who wants utmost perfection in each and every diamond placed on that canvas, tweezers are gonna be your best friend! They are great for handling both round and square diamonds.

Storing Up Those Diamonds

Stocking up those precious diamonds doesn’t have to be that expensive after all. You will find a number of storage items lying around at your house- you just have to look at the most unconventional places, say your fridge?

No, we are not messing around with you! Your empty egg cartons are a great storage space for your diamonds. You can even compartmentalize your diamonds according to their color.

Stack them up in a Jewellery Box

You can also use a jewelry box for storing and assorting your diamonds according to their color.

Pill Organizer Works too!

Your Canvas Doesn’t Want to Cooperate? It Will Now.

If your diamond painting canvas keeps curling up, one thing is certain: you’ll never be able to make a neat diamond painting in peace.  But we have just the hack you need! The easiest way to straighten up your diamond painting canvas is to just put it under your mattress, a pile of books or a flat, heavy surface overnight! The weight will straighten out all the creases from your canvas.

Peel It Off Slowly and With Love

Your diamond painting canvas usually comes covered in an adhesive plastic sheet to make sure it gets to you in its best form (i.e., clean and sticky, just as how us diamond painting dorks like it to be!).  It is always a good idea not to remove the whole sheet all at once. Just remove it from the parts you work on and let it stay on the rest of the canvas. Peel it off as you go on.

Diamond Paintings Love Flat Surfaces

Sticking those diamonds on their exact positions is a tricky business. Put your canvas on a flat surface (your study table even) to make sure the right gem goes on to the right position.

Sticky Canvas

If your canvas does get less sticky accidentally, dab it with a moist towel, that will liven up the stickiness to a great extent again!

Color Coordinated.

This hack is for the diamond painting perfectionists. You need to work with one color at a time. Your pick the color that has the least number of spots and you start working with that at first. Once you’ve filled all its spots, you can move on to the next color and so on. This will diminish the chances of error to a minimum and keep your coordinated!

Work Your Way Up.

If you are more of an artist than a perfectionist than you might want to just go row by row, pattern by pattern and have fun that way. Don’t worry, we have a hack to keep you organized too! Choose one side of the canvas and start building your painting from that side up and around. This will not only help you keep organized but also prevent the canvas from getting less sticky with time. Use a Diamond Pen Multihead to place multiple diamonds at once with ease and precision.

Bubbles in the Sheet, Trouble in Paradise.

Are the ridges in your canvas robbing you of your sleep? Just get a steel scale or a butter knife and smoothen those air bubbles out!

Setting things Straight

While painting, your canvas might fold up or move and that can cause you to mess up your painting big time. There is an easy hack for this though, just keep a heavy book or some weight on each side of your canvas.

ID Your Diamonds

Paste a diamond of every class next to its number on the reference chart to avoid any confusion.

Get ‘em Cornered

The corners of the canvas get folded or torn up in the easiest of ways. This gives a very rough and untidy appearance to the whole painting. There’s an easy solution for this though - put some washi tape on the corners to keep them sticky and tidy.

Sticky Diamonds

Your diamonds are extra sticky due to static? Well, hack them up by putting them in the folds of dryer sheets.

DIY Glue

Get some old glue stick that has dried out, knead it and use it as a glue for your diamonds. You can even add different colored inks to match it to the diamonds!

A Stitch in Time

It’s always wise to count the diamonds and note the number down somewhere. Whether it is in an egg carton, a jewelry box or a zip lock bag, count them and write the number on the storage container.

Diamond painting is fun but what is even more fun? Diamond painting with cool hacks! Happy painting.
